IN PRAISE OF SNEAKERS

Sneakers, by their very name, are sinful, self-indulgent, and are as much of a necessity in life as breathing or love. They wrap your feet like a reptile, pliable yet comfortably snug, and allow you to peek out from behind corners or slither from place to place quietly and unnoticed.
Or you may spring onto the court confidently, ready to score, dramatic colors demanding attention, driving fear into the hearts of your opponents, poisoning their minds with self-doubt.
I run like the wind with my black and gold pair. Often, it feels magical, as if the landscape is rushing past while I am running effortlessly in place.
