Odilon Redon, "Primitive Man Seated in Shadows"

The above illustration was my first choice for a cover for "The Zedland Chronicles," but there were too many restrictions. For example, the museum wouldn't allow any graphics to cover any part of the image.

I'm pleased with my second choice(which you can see in an earlier post). It's also a Redon, called "The Mystic." It hangs in a museum in the Netherlands, and there were no restrictions at all. After I settled for it, it began to grow on me and now seems more relevant than my original choice. Though it's after the fact, I'd be interested in opinions from folks who aren't familiar with the book.
